03 August 2019: LESLA Party at Sote Club, Bangkok

Got no plans for early August yet? Well, buckle up and put some waterproof mascara on because Bangkok’s LESLA Party brings out all the feels! People go crazy on the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning and it’s hard not to be ecstatic: this is Asia’s biggest lesbian party. With the motto of ‘happiness, friends and warmth’, LESLA isn’t just loads of fun; it’s also a super-inclusive space where lesbians and their allies from Bangkok and further afield can meet, make friends and maybe even find love – anything goes at this party hosted every first Saturday of the month!

Concerts at Fake Club The Next Gen, Bangkok

Fake Club The Next Gen is a bit of a gay institution in Bangkok at this point. Unlike some of the Thai capital’s famous LGBT+ venues in and around Silom, it’s located near the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market (convenient, if you need to celebrate that new outfit you just bought!) and its 1,000 m2 attract a largely local crowd. Sound good to your gay ears? Be prepared for absolute dance madness: there’s a huge stage, incredible light effects and shirts flying through the glitter-charged air from around midnight! Best of all, regular concerts staged here are the cherry on the disco ball – Fake Club is not to be missed.

04 October 2019: XXO Party, Bangkok

Don’t have your ticket for Bangkok’s annual XXO Circuit party yet? You better hurry! Staged in early October, this is a truly ‘grand’ event, fittingly held at the Grand Ballroom at one of the city’s most gay-friendly hotels, SO Sofitel. The guys at XXO don’t do ‘small’ in any way, so it’s perhaps little surprise they got the crème de la crème of hot DJs to drop the biggest international pop and house beats onto the crowd: from France’s Karl Kay to Switzerland’s Ben Bakson! XXO is one of the biggest parties on Thailand’s annual events calendar; a truly unforgettable experience with a grand production… be prepared for (you guessed it) greatness!

27-31 December 2019: 5th anniversary White Party, Bangkok

Asia’s gayest and most famous New Year’s dance festival is a not-to-be-missed experience that’s been popping champagne bottles since igniting in Bangkok in 2015! Over the course of a fun-filled five days and five parties, White Party will be rocking the Thai capital with explosive beats. In the mood for a rooftop party? There’ll be one at a secret location on 29 December. Prefer attending the ‘Military Ball’? Head for Bangkok’s CentralWorld on the December 28. White Party regulars (and there are many) will hit the scene in all sorts of costumes, but newbies shouldn’t shy from dressing up either – this party is about going crazy!

12-14 April 2020: gCircuit Songran, Bangkok

Can’t get enough of celebrating the New Year? Well, why not clink glasses to the Asian New Year during the annual dance spectacle of gCircuit Songkran? If there is one party that doesn’t need an introduction, it must be legendary gCircuit… You wouldn’t be the first attendee to fly in from abroad for the larger-than-life celebrations that have manifested gCircuit’s reputation as the Thai synonym of ‘gay nightlife’! Be it twinks, hunks or bears, everyone gets their money’s worth at the friendly ‘Boy Pool Party’ or the sleazy ‘Latex Closing Party’. And anyway, being in Thailand during Songkran is as fun as it gets – happy New Year!

11-18 April 2020: TropOut, Phuket

Get wet in Phuket! That’s the idea behind TropOut’s upcoming gay extravaganza in Thailand’s tropical party paradise. Admittedly, this event won’t be on until April 2020, but you’ll need time planning, anyway – TropOut is a week-long celebration that will take lucky attendees onto the rainbow-coloured trip of a lifetime: look forward to pool parties, beach parties, boat parties and virtually any other type of party you can think of (and yes, you’ll also be attending the wild Songkran festivities at Patong beach)! Throw a cocktail-making class, island-hopping and beachside yoga into the mix and you might just have the most exciting LGBT+ event in all of Thailand – what are you waiting for?

05-07 June 2020: Circuit Festival Asia, Pattaya

Does Circuit Festival sound familiar? Of course it does. The Pattaya counterpart of above-mentioned gCircuit Bangkok is set to bring its annual open-air extravaganza to the seaside city in Thailand’s southeast once more in 2020 (though we hear the main stage hasn’t even cooled down since this year’s event a few weeks back!). Returning ravers will of course know that it’s best to arrive early and get in the spirit in Pattaya’s Boyztown neighbourhood; though don’t worry if you’re last to arrive to Asia’s only gay waterpark party: there’s always more room for another dancing queen in the pool – who’s ready?
